Welcome to Hilltop Hall Care Home, a unique home where modern facilities blend in with the character and elegance of a grade 2 listed building. Wood panelling, stain glass windows, chandeliers and a bell tower are some of the wonderful features of the home, along with landscaped gardens in a quiet and elevated location.

The home is able to accommodate residents who require both residential and nursing care. Residents who need the care and support of a nurse 24 hours a day are supported by an experienced nursing team. They, in turn, have the support of external clinical professionals who visit the home to give specialist medical advice, as necessary. This ensures the best of nursing care is delivered and residents feel safe and secure in our care.

Welcome to Hilltop Hall Care Home, a unique home where modern facilities blend in with the character and elegance of a grade 2 listed building. Wood panelling, stain glass windows, chandeliers and a bell tower are some of the wonderful features of the home, along with landscaped gardens in a quiet and elevated location.

The garden, decking area and lawns around the home are available for those who like to be outside and enjoy the fresh air – all are easily accessible.  If you are, or have been, a keen gardener then your help or advice will be gratefully received, there is a lot to look after!

In addition to the 2 large well-appointed lounges and other well-appointed seating areas home has 2 dining rooms in which residents can enjoy their meals. The menu is varied and the meals cooked from fresh ingredients. Of course, we are able to accommodate special menu choices for those who need adapted dietary choices.

Description

The home is able to accommodate residents who require both residential and nursing care. Lesley Boshir – Activities Co Ordinator at Hilltop Hall

Lesley has been a Carer for many years and gained qualifications in care up to level 3, recently Lesley decided to have a change of role and decided to become our Activity Co Ordinator, she welcomed the challenge and looked forward to the new direction in her working life. She continues to welcome and support existing residents in activities within the home and on external trips out. 

She also organises Christmas and Summer fayres, bringing families staff and relatives together, whilst also fund raising for our residents in the home. Lesley also contacts local groups within our community raising awareness and strengthening bonds, recently we had a gospel choir singing in the home and have regular services held within the home from local churches.

Administrator

Michelle is a very experienced Home Administrator, she has been at Hilltop Hall for nearly two years, prior to that she worked for 9 years for a large care provided and has supported many Home Managers, in her role of Home Administrator. Lots of the behind the scenes work is completed by the Homes Administrators, but Michelle is also very personable and likes to welcome and support new staff, she likes to introduce herself to residents and families and has regular email contact with many. 

She has also been heavily involved in project managing improvements to our gardens, including fund raising, communicating with residents and designing our decking area, putting together a book in reception showing the improvements, which has also been used to involve families, staff and residents. She works closely with Warren our Maintenance and Dean our Gardener who do all the hard work on the grounds.

Maintenance Operative

Warren is our welcoming and helpful Maintenance Operative; we affectionately refer to him as part of the furniture. He not only ensures all new staff are welcomed, he ensures the home is safe for staff, visitors and relatives. This includes inducting all staff on fire procedures. Warren works closely with our Home Manager and the Estates team to ensure behind the scenes work is completed and things run safely. 

He is also very talented at Home Design. He has a natural flare for selecting wallpapers as he re decorates and furnishes rooms. He prides himself on getting rooms ready and ensuring they are welcoming for new residents as well. 

Warren is currently involved in the build of our new orangery greenhouse which will allow for visits for families and loved ones, during these difficult times, he has also been a keen helper in the garden project that commenced in 2019, he is not scared of hard work and always has a smile.

Remaining active is a huge part of any individual’s well-being and at Hilltop Hall there are daily activities to suit everyone’s interests.
