Meet The Manager

Andrea Fjodor is Home Manager at Bentley Manor.

Hi, I'm Andrea,

I am a nurse with over 29 year experience. I also hold a degree in Leadership & Management.

I have an interest in the health of older adults, believing in the individuality of each person. It is essential that they are supported to remain as healthy and independent as possible and that they receive the highest quality care when they need it most.

My journey at Bentley Manor Care Home started in 2015, when I worked as the Deputy Manager.

I enjoy getting involved in the day to day running of the Home and feel very proud seeing our residents smiles.

My determination to ensure that the quality of care is of the highest standard has driven me to develop, hence, becoming the Home Manager. This put me in a position in which I can make a difference to the lives of those I support.

I'm passionate and responsible for standards of care. We ensure that our residents feel valued, understood and respected.

Andrea Fjodor

Harbour Healthcare is family run, although one with very considerable experience and expertise in the care industry.

Our philosophy is actually quite simple: We strive to provide an excellent standard of care to our residents, treating them with complete dignity and respect.

All our homes are decorated and presented to a high standard and have excellent facilities to serve the needs of residents. Our homes and gardens are clean, very well presented and homely. We attract people into our staff teams who have ‘serving hearts’ – people who really care about the people who live with us. Our people have won the gratitude and respect not only of our residents, but also of family members and health professionals.

OUR MISSION

Together we are dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of all, through quality, excellence and fun.

Our Building and Facilities

Welcome to Bentley Manor Care Home located just north of Crewe town centre. The home is ideally placed for the local community and those coming from Leighton Hospital and the surrounding areas.

This very popular purpose built care home is spacious and modern and provides residential and nursing care and as well as care for those who suffer the impact of dementia on their lives and other mental health issues. The well trained, experienced and dedicated team are able to ensure such high levels of care because of the individual, tailor made care plans which are written in order to ensure that every detail of an individual’s care is recorded. Such ‘person centeredness’ is how the home achieves its high standards of quality of care. The value of such an approach cannot be understated.

Most bedrooms are en-suite and have been recently redecorated with residents choosing the choice of colours and wallpapers. Lounges and dining rooms have also been decorated with residents choices in mind, residents spend a lot of time together and we want them to have homely and comfortable places to spend their time.

Group activities, music and entertainment, as well as individual time with residents, is planned by the dedicated activity coordinator ensuring that resident days are varied and interesting. Gathering information from residents and families regarding favourite music, hobbies and interests ensure that the activity programme for each resident can be ‘tailor made’.

Home cooked menus are on offer to residents and their visitors. Meals are cooked by our own chefs at the home, with resident favourite meals reflected in menu choices. Start the day with a cooked breakfast if you wish, or be tempted with traditional meals and desserts. Good food is very important and our chefs enjoy tempting residents to eat and drink well

Administrator

Hello there,

My name is Michele and I am the Home Administrator at Bentley Manor Care Home.

I have over 20 years’ experience working in Finance and Accounts. I joined the Bentley Manor family as a Care Assistant in June 2015, after I had been made redundant and I wanted to try something new. I had a background in care, as I had cared for my Dad, who had lived with dementia for several years. I settled in well and enjoyed caring for our lovely residents. A year later, the Administrator job was advertised, and I have never looked back.

There are many aspects to my role, from Recruitment and Payroll, to Resident Accounts, Funding and Contracts. I feel my previous experience enables me to empathise with family members and give them reassurance, during what can be a worrying time for all involved.

At the heart of my job, will always be the Best Interest of our residents.
