Meet The Manager

Caron Williams is Home Manager at Treetops Court Care Home.

Hello, my name is Caron,

I have worked in health and social care for 34 years having qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 1989. I worked in the NHS for over 28 years prior to moving to the private healthcare sector to broaden my horizons, skills and knowledge.

I've worked in the care of older people for the majority of my career and I'm very passionate about providing excellent quality of care to people approaching older age, with a specialist interest in the care of people living with dementia.

I've managed services since 1992, continually striving to inspire people by demonstrating commitment to enriching the lives of people living in residential care along with their family members and significant others by being a positive role model and an agent for change.

I believe it's important to have the right team who hold the Values of Harbour Healthcare, providing excellent care to our residents and their families.

We are following the advise of National and Local authorities including Public Health England and our local Infection Control and Prevention team.

All necessary protective equipment will be supplied and visitors may be asked to complete Lateral Flow tests.

Visits will be by appointment only. The Home's team will inform you about what arrangements are in place to keep you, our residents and team members as safe as possible.

Should there be positive cases of COVID in the Home, then visits will not be permitted.

Team members and residents are being tested as per the latest guidelines.

Chef

I trained as a chef in 1995 at Queen’s Moathouse, then a 5 star hotel.

I worked in hospitality, progressing to an Executive Chef and in 2013 myself and some ex colleagues opened our own bar, restaurant and nightclub.

I then moved to Treetops Court. I’m learning everyday as its very different from hotels and restaurants, but I enjoy making a difference. It allows me to fully engage with the wider staff team and residents and there is a real sense of ‘family’ in the home.

Skills I have gained in the hospitality industry have easily transferred into the care setting. We have started growing some of our own produce and actively encouraging our residents to participate in this. It is wonderful to see their joy when seeing the produce that they have helped tend.

Together with the management team, we are continually thinking of new ways to provide a greater range of social activities around mealtimes to make them as enjoyable as possible.

Adminstrator

Hello,

My name is Louise and I am the Home Administrator at Tree Tops Court Care Home.

I have over 25 years’ experience working in customer Care & Administration. I joined the Tree Tops Court Team in 2015. Before this I worked for HMRC and for Northcliffe Newspapers. I didn’t have a background working in a care home environment, so this was new for me. I settled in well and enjoyed meeting our lovely residents and their families.

There are many aspects to my role, from Payroll and Recruitment, to Resident Accounts, Contracts and enquiries. My past experience in customer care enables me to assist with family members who have a variety of questions and at times concerns about a loved one needing to be placed in a care home. I give them reassurance, during an uncertain time for all. The best interest of our residents and their families will always be at the heart of my job and I feel honoured and privileged to work with and meet such beautiful people.

I have been a qualified nurse for 10 years and have spent most of my nursing career caring for older people and those living with dementia care. I enjoy working collaboratively and effectively with other professionals, to achieve the best care for all residents.

I have worked at Treetops Court previously and whilst having moved on to broaden my experience I am pleased to say I have now returned to the company as Deputy Manager and I am thoroughly enjoying my role.

Harbour Healthcare are a caring and friendly company that have been supportive from the 1st day I entered the home. I am really looking forward to growing in my career within Harbour Healthcare and strive for continuous improvement and better outcomes for the people entrusted to our care.
