Meet The Manager
Janyce Wilks is Registered Care Home Manager at Hindhead Place.
Janyce is a registered nurse who completed her training in Portsmouth in 1984. She has had a rewarding career spanning primary and secondary care, the pharmaceutical industry, and forensic nursing, before returning to social care in 2015.
Janyce has held many leadership roles, including Deputy Manager and General Manager, and is dedicated to fostering a happy, homely environment for both our residents and team. It is important to her that everyone who lives within our community has a voice and is listened to so that we can support their choices, and ensure their dignity is always maintained.
In 2024, Janyce joined the team at Hamberley, and looks forward to offering peace of mind to families who entrust their loved ones to our care, and creating meaningful, lasting moments for the individuals we serve.

Situated in the picturesque village of Hindhead, our dedicated team - including our award-winning Homemakers - deliver personalised care in a warm, elegant setting.
Our home features spacious en-suite bedrooms, thoughtfully designed in a variety of themes for stylish and comfortable living. For couples or those seeking extra space, we also offer companion suites complete with a kitchenette and lounge-diner.
Residents enjoy access to a range of premium amenities, including a welcoming café for socialising over cappuccinos, a wellbeing and beauty salon for well-deserved pampering, a deluxe cinema, an inviting bar, and a private dining room ideal for celebrating special occasions with loved ones.
