Joy Henshaw is Registered Manager at The Dell.

I’ve been working in care for a very long time now, over 40 years in fact, and have experience in managing care homes, nursing homes and care in the community. I find it such a pleasure to be able to have such a positive influence on people’s lives through the care we provide, and it really is a so rewarding seeing residents happy and fulfilled in our homes.

With nursing care, dementia care, residential care, respite care and day care offered at Wellbeing Care, along with supported living services, we cater for a variety of needs and requirements and would love to help you and your family however we can.

Two miles west of the coastal town of Lowestoft in Suffolk, you’ll find Oulton Broad, home of the Dell Care Home. At the Dell, we provide residential, dementia and respite care for to up to 40 people in a homely environment. We also offer day care services from a separate centre within the grounds of our home, and additionally, we offer a supported living service for those who wish to live independently but would like the peace of mind that help’s close by.

Our Building and Facilities

We are proud to offer large spacious lounges, which boast sensory lighting and adjoining conservatory, which benefits service users suffering from dementia-type illnesses by giving them space to move around freely. The Dell offers a small quiet room for persons who enjoy some quiet times, or to sit and watch the days pass by. The Dell offers a beautiful dining area in a large naturally lit room, plus an adjunct room. The majorty of bedrooms are all single occupancy with ensuites, and all rooms are fitted with call bells, and TV points. Phone lines may be installed if requested.
