Lesley Stewart is Home Manager at Woodlands Care Home.
Lesley has worked with the company since 2021 as manager of their flagship home in Edinburgh and has now transferred to join the team at Woodlands. As a qualified nurse, Lesley’s main clinical background is the Intensive care unit at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and latterly as a Specialist Peritoneal Dialysis nurse. On a personal level, Lesley lived in Italy for 20 years and loves cooking Italian dishes, having now moved from Edinburgh, she looks forward to walking her two dogs and seeing more of Aberdeen.
Woodlands Care Home is a brand new purpose-built care facility situated in the residential area of Craigiebuckler, Aberdeen. Surrounded by tranquil open green spaces and only 15 minutes from Aberdeen City Centre, our residents will truly be able to experience the best of both worlds. Our home has been thoughtfully designed to offer exceptional levels of Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite Care, as well as a plethora of luxury facilities.
Woodlands Care Home is the first new luxury care home in Aberdeen for over 10 years. The home is spacious with floor to ceiling windows throughout which provides a light and airy feel. Small community living is a highlight of the home. The abundance of communal space allows for emotional wellness, increased social interaction and life enrichment. Residents on the ground floor will have their own private garden courtesy of our extensive grounds.

We want nothing more than for Woodlands to feel like a home-away-from-home for our residents, a place where they feel relaxed, safe, and excited to welcome family and friends. Each of our suites have been decorated beautifully and designed to offer maximum comfort with a modern yet homely feel. Every suite has been well-furnished with flat screen televisions, desks, armchairs, and profiling beds. Our weekly activities programme produced by our Activity Coordinators will be varied and inclusive, enabling everyone to experience life their way. We believe that every resident should have the opportunity to lead a rich and active lifestyle. Our Activities Coordinators will work with residents to gain an understanding on the range of interests and hobbies in order to provide suitable activities and ensure everyone is satisfied. We recognise the importance of encouraging our residents to live an active and social lifestyle. With an activities room and dedicated coordinators, our weekly programme will offer a variety of stimulating activities and entertainment such as playing games, baking, dancing, singing and day trips out into the local community and Aberdeen’s city centre. |
