Nicky Vaughan is Home Manager at Richmond Village Willaston Care Home.
Nicky brings a wealth of experience, compassion and leadership to her new role as Care Home Manager at Richmond Villages Willaston.
Throughout her career, Nicky has specialised in supporting people living with complex conditions, including dementia, acquired brain injuries, autism, mental health conditions and neurological rehabilitation needs. She has also led projects focused on improving care standards, supporting providers to achieve stronger CQC outcomes and helping individuals regain independence and move back into community living.
As Care Home Manager at Richmond Villages Willaston, Nicky’s mission to create a warm, happy and supportive environment for residents, relatives and staff alike.
Since joining the village, Nicky says her favourite part of the role has been the variety each day brings, along with Richmond Villages’ commitment to both residents and staff wellbeing.
Richmond Villages Willaston is a purpose-built care village in South Cheshire, very carefully designed to support those living with dementia. Richmond Villages Willaston is not solely a dementia care setting. Alongside our specialist households, we provide outstanding residential, nursing, respite, palliative and end-of-life care within our 35-bedroom care home, welcoming individuals with a wide range of needs. This means that those living with more advanced stages of dementia can progress to a higher level of care without having to leave the grounds.
Inspired by a transformational approach to dementia care from the Netherlands, our philosophy is to support people to live as independently as possible for as long as possible.
Our model is quite different from traditional dementia care settings. For example, we create small households of six like-minded people who have shared interests. This can really help to maintain proactive and positive lifestyles.
