Lammermuir House - Care Home
Meet The Manager

Keiron Mellotte is Care Home Manager at Lammermuir House.

The best thing about working here is the exceptional team of staff. They are a family and a unit and do great work every single day. What I enjoy most about my job is getting to spend time with residents, to hear their stories, know that we are adding value to their lives and making a difference.

Keiron Mellotte

Lammermuir House Care Home is ideally situated near the sea in Dunbar, offering stunning views over the Firth of Forth. The home enjoys easy access to local shops, amenities, public transport, and the A1 motorway, providing both convenience and a peaceful coastal setting.

This purpose-built care home offers comfortable accommodation in single-occupancy rooms, each with en-suite facilities, ensuring privacy and comfort for residents.

Lammermuir House features a variety of communal spaces, including TV lounges, a quiet sitting room for relaxation, and separate dining rooms with picturesque sea views where residents can socialise during mealtimes. Traditional home-cooked meals are prepared using fresh produce, with daily menu choices available. Residents are also welcome to dine in the comfort of their own rooms if preferred. What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are working within the government guidelines to help protect our staff and clients.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Independent Assessments We have been independently assessed in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

We have strong connections with the local community and our events and activity programme includes something for everyone with the opportunity for lots of socialising or quiet time if preferred.

If a resident has a hobby or pastime they enjoy, we'll encourage them to continue it with us.  Or perhaps they may like to rekindle a love of something or possibly learn something new.  The important thing is that we treat every resident an an individual.
