Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.
| What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe | ||
|---|---|---|
|
We carry out regular risk assessments for both residents and staff to identify and reduce potential risks. We follow strict Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) procedures, including good hand hygiene, regular cleaning, and the use of PPE where required. We kindly ask visitors not to visit if they are feeling unwell to help prevent the spread of infection throughout the home. Staff receive regular training in health and safety, infection control, safeguarding, moving and handling, and emergency procedures. We closely monitor residents' health and wellbeing and respond promptly to any concerns. Regular audits, safety checks, and reviews help us maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment. We have robust procedures in place for medication management, fire safety, safeguarding, and incident reporting. Appropriate staffing levels are maintained to ensure safe, person-centred care for all residents. |
