Meet The Manager
Leigh is Young at Glencorse Care Home.
Leigh is the dedicated manager for Glencorse Care Home. She has been a nurse for 10 years and began her nursing career in the transplant unit at the Royal Infirmary. She decided to move into the private sector to develop both nursing and people management skills as a deputy Manager helping to commission a brand new care home. Leigh has since completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Person Centred Practice with Clinical decision-making and prescribing as a District Nurse however she missed the world of Care Home Management and is delighted to now be part of the team and Haddington.
Leigh is passionate about people, ensuring residents are well cared for our staff continues to be engaged, motivated, and developed to deliver gold-standard care.

Offering 54 spacious, private en-suite bedrooms, this purpose-built care home provides high-quality residential, dementia, nursing, and respite care in a warm and welcoming environment.

A cosy café provides the perfect setting for visits with loved ones, while sophisticated dining spaces offer delicious, chef-prepared meals. Outside, beautifully maintained gardens, a sensory space, and a putting green offer a peaceful outdoor retreat. Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure residents feel at home while receiving the highest standard of care.
