What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

At Garfield House, the safety and wellbeing of our residents is always our highest priority. We follow comprehensive infection prevention and control procedures in line with current NHS and UK Government guidance.

Our team receives regular training in infection control and hygiene best practices to ensure the highest standards are maintained at all times. The home operates enhanced cleaning schedules throughout the day, with particular attention given to high touch areas such as door handles, handrails and communal spaces.

Hand sanitising stations are available throughout the home for residents, staff and visitors, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is used where required. Residents’ health is closely monitored and we work closely with local healthcare professionals to ensure any concerns are identified and managed quickly.

We welcome family visits and maintain sensible precautions to ensure visits can take place safely while protecting the health of everyone living and working in the home.

Our aim is to provide a warm, homely environment where residents can feel comfortable, supported and safe at all times.
