I qualified as a Registered Nurse (Mental Health) in 1998, working for over 20 years in a secure hospital environment caring for adults detained under the Mental Health Act (1983). Although challenging at times, a very rewarding job culminating in opening up a small rehabilitation unit teaching life skills.

I joined Foxhunters when they opened and was thrilled to find a home where i can use my skills. I am passionate about delivering the best care possible to our ladies and gentlemen at Foxhunters and am proud to lead a fantastic team of experienced and skilled nurses.

Donna Hemsley
Activities Manager

I have been working as an activity coordinator for nearly seventeen years now and have been at Foxhunters since we opened back in 2018. The team within Foxhunters is without a doubt the best, not only are they supportive and really try to get involved but they also assist in the delivery of activity and are always coming up with ideas that we can use to entertain our Ladies and Gentlemen.
Whilst I have been at Foxhunters, I have completed my level 3 in health and social care along with various other training delivered by Oomph, which has benefitted me greatly and given me the confidence to expand my ideas and try new things. I have developed my own training which focuses on the delivery of activity and how this can benefit the wider team.
I find it hugely satisfying being able to enrich the lives of our residents and make every day enjoyable.

Kyle James
Kyle James

I only believe in using the very best produce and luckily Foxhunters is situated in the town of Abergavenny and we have the very best produce suppliers of South Wales.

I am excited to provide the very best food and service to the ladies and gentlemen who reside at the Foxhunters Care Community. There will be a wide range of excellent menus on offer, and I fully enjoy bakery and sugar-craft work, there will definitely be a lot of cakes and patisseries on offer in our Cwtch Cafe, daily.
