Gemma Brown is Manager at Cotswolds Rise.
I have worked in residential care supporting older adults for the last 12 years; the values and ethos of Hartford Care resonate with me personally and professionally, and therefore I am thrilled to be a part of the Team. I started my career in care as a Care Assistant and fell in love with supporting people and assisting residents living with dementia to live as fulfilled a life as possible. My strengths lie in creating a safe environment where residents and staff alike are valued, respected, and given opportunities to flourish.
Situated in the town of Swindon, Wiltshire, Cotswolds Rise is one of Hartford Care’s newest care homes. The purpose-built home is located within easy distance of the town amenities, including shopping centres, supermarkets, theatre, cinema, library, hotels, public house, restaurants, cafes, pharmacy, train station, health centre and public parks.
Our team have created a unique care home which offers residential, dementia and respite care, ensuring our residents are not only safe and well cared for but happy and content as well. As with all our homes, we provide a full programme of activities, entertainment and outings to cater for everyone’s taste.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
