Nogi John is Home Manager at Castor Lodge Care Home.

Nogi has worked for Country Court since 2015 managing another nursing home and previously managed Ashwood Nursing Home, one of our other homes in Spalding. Leading by example, her team receives her full support enabling them to deliver excellent care and support for residents. Nogi’s dedication was recognised by the Lincolnshire Care Association when she won the ‘Care Leadership’ award at the LinCA Care Awards in 2018.

Our homes are designed to be exactly that – a home. The stunning facilities provide a luxury lifestyle, enabling people to live as they would normally, with the added pleasure of having company (and no chores). Our new care home in Castor near Peterborough will provide a warm welcome as soon as you set foot through the door. Specialising in residential care, dementia care and short-term respite care, Castor Lodge is home for up to sixty-eight people. The care home is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater for a variety of care needs.

With a community feel, the home's village street provides a lively heart of the home. Communal areas are bright, spacious and inviting, with beautifully landscaped gardens to encourage people to explore the outdoor spaces.

Every detail has been thoughtfully designed to facilitate a range of daily meaningful activities. There is always plenty going on from a visit to the Cricketers Arms pub, cinema, hair and beauty salon or corner shop. Residents can meet friends and visitors in the bistro café or enjoy uninterrupted views over the open countryside from the rooftop Observatory bar. Castor Lodge is a wonderful place to start the next chapter of life.

Daniel is our Deputy Manager at Castor Lodge, he is a registered nurse and has worked as clinical lead for various care providers. Daniel is responsible for monitoring the standards of care in the home and ensuring the needs of our residents are met on a day to day basis.

Laura is our Customer Relations Manager at Castor Lodge Care Home, and she is responsible for ensuring the transition of your loved one into our home is as smooth as possible. Laura takes a great deal of care to get to know each resident and their family. She was awarded a Staff Award recognising the fantastic rapport she has with families & residents, always finding a way to make people feel at ease.

The Importance Of Meal Times

Our dining rooms are clean, bright and inviting.  Residents are encouraged to take their meals in the shared dining areas in the company of their friends. Dining tables are set ready for each meal, just as you would expect in a restaurant and front of house staff are on hand to serve and assist with meals as required.

Activities Are So Important

Our in-house pubs are a popular facility. Our pub is a place for residents to relax and enjoys life with friends as they always would have done. Movie night is weekly highlight at our home. Residents choose the films and enjoy with popcorn and drinks.  Residents also enjoy a trip to the salon. For many residents this is weekly event in their calendar.  Our beauty bar feature a nail painting area and make-up for those special occasions.
