Meet The Manager

Caroline Baines is Home Manager at Broadlands Lodge Care Home.

Caroline has worked within the care industry for over 30 years, starting her career in the NHS and then moving into the private sector.

Caroline has gained a wealth of experience and qualifications, whilst working as a Registered Manager, in residential and dementia care homes.

Caroline’s passion lies in a holistic approach to everyone she supports, providing person centered care and support to the residents. Caroline believes that by leading by example and developing her team they will continue to provide exemplary care to the residents.

In her spare time Caroline loves to run and has completed a Half Marathon for Alzheimer’s Research.

Broadlands Lodge Care Home in Norwich, opens in September 2022 and will provide 24-hour residential and dementia care, within a newly built, state-of-the-art home, where residents stay for one inclusive fee. Broadlands Lodge is part of Danforth Care Homes and benefits from the support of an experienced management team.

Here at Danforth Care Homes the health, safety and well-being of our residents, visitors and team members are at the heart of what we do and is of paramount importance to us.

Danforth Care Homes priority continues to be the health, safety and wellbeing of all residents, staff, and visitors. Please be reassured that all actions taken will reflect the current and active guidance provided for us by the UK Government and Public Health (England).

The steps we've taken include:

  • Hand sanitiser and PPE stations are available throughout the home, One Spray Hand sanitiser upon arrival which provides users with 24 hrs protection. 
  • One Spray Surface sanitiser used in all the homes after every 25 days (put a protection layer for 30 days).
  • Regular Infection Control Themed Supervision with all the team members, monthly infection control audit, spillage kits available in each floor for body fluids, D&V procedure, and guidance available in each floor for team. 
  • Danforth colour coded policy in place for mops to avoid any spread of infection. In depth training for all the team members via eLearning portal and face to face by our IPC lead in the home.

We provide the highest standards of residential, dementia and respite care to all residents in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Broadlands Lodge has luxurious social spaces, attractive décor and stunning landscaped gardens and is situated near the picturesque Elm Hill with it's cobbled streets and shops, Norwich City and Norwich Castle and the seaside is also nearby.
