Kay Mitchell is The Registered Manager at Cuffley Manor Care Home.
I am the Home Manager at Cuffley Manor and have over 15 years’ experience within the Care home sector.
Although my background had always been in accountancy since leaving school, I felt there was something missing. I was first introduced to care 15 years ago, and can honestly say, I have never looked back. Since then I have progressed from Health Care Assistant to Senior Carer, Deputy Manager and for the past 8 years, have been in a General/Home Managers position.
I am very passionate about providing not only an excellent standard of care but also an environment in which residents and the team are able to enjoy living and working in a home with a warm, friendly and fun atmosphere. I am extremely proud to be part of the TLC family.
Cuffley Manor is an award-winning care home that provides first-class residential care located in Potters Bar. The elegant décor, grand en-suite bedrooms and the wonderful community atmosphere makes Cuffley Care Home an exceptional place to live. Every resident can enjoy and take time to relax with an afternoon tea and coffee in the stunning Bistro. The home has its very own mini-golf course, Putting Green and a themed pub, The Cuffley Arms. After listening to their residents and the community, Cuffley Manor offers an all-inclusive care package. The package includes its fine dining and luxury treatments, together with its nurturing care, with no unexpected costs.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. I came to the UK in 2008, initially to study for an NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care, as part of understanding both the social and medical care provided in the UK.I was fortunate to be able to work for Care Homes, initially as a Senior Care Assistant. As I developed my skills, knowledge, and exposure to the care home environment, I was promoted to Team Leader, then an opportunity became available to become an Assistant Manager since 2016.I joined the TLC group as a Care Service Manager at Cuffley Manor in May 2021 and I am loving the family atmosphere here. I am very passionate about care and people, and I strive to ensure that our residents are receiving outstanding person-centred care in a safe homely environment. ![]() Mark ArrowsmithHotel Service ManagerI have worked within care of the elderly for nearly 10 years, starting as a carer and progressing to senior care. I then discovered a passion to create and facilitate meaningful and engaging activities for the Elderly and have since taken part in developing dementia strategies. Although I very much enjoyed the Head of Wellbeing role here at Cuffley Manor, my recent promotion to HSM, means I get the best of both worlds. I am still very much involved with the wellbeing team and the activities we offer. ![]() Adriana AxenteHR/Finance ManagerI joined TLC in 2019 and enjoyed being in Care rather than hotels where I previously worked. Moving to care was the best decision of my life and I feel helped me discover myself. I have been nominated 3 times for national care awards, Housekeeper of the year in 2019 and a finalist for British care awards, all whilst with TLC. I wanted to challenge myself a little further and do something that would include my passion for numbers. After studying and gaining confidence, I was successful in applying for the role of admin assistant. ![]() Graham RoffeyHead ChefI have worked at Cuffley Manor for three years, originally as an Assistant Chef and I have since progressed into a Head Chef role. I am approaching my first year as Head Chef and with the help of Support Office, the training team, my Home Manager I have come such a long way. |
