Meet The Manager

Leah Houghton is Manager at Lilibet Manor Nursing Home.

Leah is a trained Mental Health Nurse with over 20 years’ experience in care.

Leah Houghton

Lilibet Manor is a specialist care facility set across two adjoining buildings in Rossendale, Lancashire, offering tailored support for individuals with varying physical, mental health, and complex needs, with a particular focus on long-term complex care. Lilibet Manor is rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

A number of the individuals we support have experienced failed placements in mainstream care due to their complex needs. Our specialist Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model ensures that each individual receives care tailored to their unique circumstances, reducing the need for restrictive interventions and ensuring their long-term care is as supportive as possible. By identifying triggers and creating a nurturing environment, we empower people to lead more independent and fulfilling lives, even within the context oflong-term complex care.

Lilibet Manor is more than a care home — it’s a community dedicated to providing compassionate, expert-led support to those with the most complex needs. With our experienced team and innovative approach, we continue to be a leading choice for long-term specialist nursing and mental health care in Rossendale and beyond.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

Lilibet Manor is working within the government guidelines to help protect its staff and clients. If infection is in the home, staff will use red bags and clinical waste bags for that person and their clothes are washed separate from every one elses.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Independent Assessments We have been independently assessed in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
