Meet The Manager

Nichola Oldham is The Home Manager at Broomy Hill Nursing Home.

I have 13 years’ experience in the care sector and have recently been appointed manager here at Broomy Hill. I’m dedicated to supporting the team and ensuring that residents have a safe, happy and fulfilled life here with us.

Nichola Oldham

Broomy Hill Nursing Home was first built in the 1900s as a Victorian-era school academy. We’ve kept many of the traditional features and impressive architecture. Yet every part of the building has been completely modernised and updated, making it the safe, secure home-from-home your loved one deserves.

Despite modernisation, we’re committed to making Broomy Hill Nursing Home as homely as possible for our residents. Therefore, you’ll notice our home is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment. It’s being updated, with work carried out considerately and carefully to minimise the disruption to your loved one’s daily life and comfort.

Broomy Hill Nursing Home is designed around a central courtyard to encourage the sense of community and togetherness that’s so important to our residents. Our residents enjoy plenty of natural light throughout our communal areas, and our newly-expanded garden suite opens directly onto a secure, well-maintained garden.

The Home Manager

I have 13 years’ experience in the care sector and have recently been appointed manager here at Broomy Hill. I’m dedicated to supporting the team and ensuring that residents have a safe, happy and fulfilled life here with us.

Clinical Lead

Having worked for several years in similar roles, my knowledge and experience helps to guide families through what can be a very difficult time in their lives.  I’m very passionate about nursing and always strive to provide exceptional standards of care in the safest of environments. I really enjoy my role, helping residents in their day-to-day living. The home is very friendly and we ensure everyone feels like they are home-from-home and living with one big happy family.

Team Leader

I have worked for Ashberry for 21 years and have 28 years’ experience in residential and nursing care. During my time with Ashberry I have worked my way from Care Assistant to Deputy Manager at our sister home Holmer Court. My role currently at Broomy Hill is Team Leader, I love being able to give the best quality care to our residents here.

With 13 years’ experience as a nurse I was excited to join the team at Broomy Hill. I enjoy improving the quality of life for our residents and think of them like my family.

I have enjoyed diving into my role here at Broomy Hill and love the diversity of it. I am currently studying my foundation degree in Health and Social Care, with ambitions to climb the ladder in the adult social care sector. I enjoy developing relationships with the residents, staff and residents’ family members here at Broomy Hill.

Care Assistant

I am new to the team here at Broomy Hill and currently studying my Level 4 in Health and Social Care with aspirations to become a nurse one day. It is a friendly and welcoming environment here and I enjoy being part of the residents lives and part of the Broomy Hill family.

Team Leader

I have been working at Broomy Hill for the past seven years, having started at the age of eighteen.  I have worked my way up to Team Leader and I’m proud to have a role where I am able to make a real difference in our residents’ lives.
