The health, safety and wellbeing of our residents and staff is our top priority. With this in mind we have added a host of new additional safety measures at our facilities to ensure that our residents may continue to live their lives as they choose with minimal inconvenience.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Cedars Care Home offers accommodation for 48 residents in bright, spacious, comfortably furnished rooms with en-suite or wet room facilities, many with attractive views over the garden.

Accommodation is spread over three floors and where possible, we will offer you your choice of room. Each is equipped with TV and telephone points, a nurse call system and an adjustable automatic bed to ensure maximum comfort. We also encourage residents to bring with them favourite pictures and photographs, treasured ornaments and small items of furniture.

Cedars has a lovely light and airy feel, with homely communal areas, lounges and dining rooms on each floor where you can socialise with guests or participate in our programme of daily activities.

There is lift access between the floors, and all areas are wheelchair accessible, as is our large, private garden. This is a pleasant space where residents can enjoy an al fresco meal with fellow residents or guests in the summer.

As well as our on-site hairdresser, we also offer other paid-for services such as chiropody.

Our 48 rooms are bright, airy and spacious with en-suite or wet room facilities. They're also wheelchair accessible and comfortably furnished and equipped with TV and telephone points, free wifi, a nurse call system and an adjustable automatic bed to ensure comfort. 

Here at Cedars it's all about home comforts and making our new residents feel at ease from day one. So we encourage you to personalise your room with favourite pictures, family photographs, treasured ornaments and favourite small items of furniture. We know that having your own things around you is one of the best ways to help you feel more at home

We have an active social life in our home with plenty of opportunities to make new friends and participate in a variety of interesting activities, as well as day trips out in the Cedars minibus.

This is important because an active life can help to keep you more alert, mobile and happier, with better health and wellbeing overall.

Our activities co-ordinators organise activities and entertainments such as arts and crafts, music and exercise twice a day, every day. If you have a particular hobby, we can also support you in pursuing it.

At times you may wish to read, watch TV or listen to the radio in the peace and quiet of your own room – and that's ok too!

Many of our residents love animals, and have enjoyed having pets in the past, so we have regular visits from friendly dogs, and some of our residents’ visitors are able to bring their own dogs with them. If you would like to bring your own pet into the home with you, please discuss with the manager beforehand.
