Activities Are So Important |
---|
Supporting our residents to enjoy every day living at Brentwood Care Centre is a key focus for our dedicated team. By getting to know each person, we are able to tailor our activities and events to their personal tastes as well as activities they may like to try. No two days are the same here and, alongside our usual daily hobby-based activities, we also like to host events which are a little out of the ordinary. In addition to keeping fit with our chair-based exercises, baking, quizzes, movie afternoons and our knit and natter club, we also take great pleasure in welcoming visiting entertainers, schools, nurseries, Pets As Therapy dogs and groups to our home to enjoy spending time with our residents. Our team and residents also love pottering around the local garden centre, visiting local attractions, such as country parks and Southend seafront, and getting dressed up for our themed days throughout the year — complete with themed menus and decorations! Every month our residents also get the chance to take part in their very own special request show on a local radio station. They love choosing their favourite songs and then gather together to hear them played on the radio – where they chat about what they were up to when the songs were first released. |
