Meet The Manager

Payal Chhabra is Home Manager at TLC Karuna Manor Care Home.

I have been the registered Home Manager at Karuna Manor since November 2022, previously I was the Hotel Services Manager for the home. 

Over the past 17 years I have worked as a Physiotherapist and Deputy Manager with residents, families, loved ones and the wider community to promote a sense of belonging.

I am pleased to be leading an exceptional team who are dedicated to delivering excellent person-centred care and we are proud to be rated Good in all areas by CQC. I have a vast experience in clinical care, with the last 25 years specialising in elderly care. I am passionate about supporting my team members and I am most fulfilled when I enjoy spending time with our residents who love to enjoy a chat and a chuckle.

Purpose-built to support the vegetarian community, in-house chefs prepare fresh, authentic and award-winning Gujarati cuisine daily, ensuring variety and nourishment. English, Gujarati and Hindi are spoken to facilitate excellent communication and comfort for residents and families.

The dedicated care team, comprising experienced carers, nurses, hospitality staff and wellbeing professionals, delivers tailored, person-centred care with dignity, kindness and respect. Whether requiring light daily support or complex nursing, the team provides a seamless and adaptable care pathway.

Daily life is vibrant and fulfilling, with a rich programme of activities, cultural events and spiritual practices supporting physical and emotional wellbeing. Residents are encouraged to maintain independence, enjoy interests and build meaningful connections in a truly homely setting.
