Christine Hutchings is Home Manager at Bayford House Care Home.
"Bayford House is a beautiful Victorian property with 6 acres of grounds. Some landscaped and some left for the local wildlife to roam. Our staff are passionate and take pride in delivering person centred care to all our residents. It’s a real home from home."
Bayford House provides residential and nursing care for people seeking either short‑term stays or longer‑term support.
The home is full of character, featuring fireplaces, traditional wood panelling and large bay windows, and is set within six acres of attractive grounds. Located in the village of Stockcross, just outside Newbury, Bayford House maintains close links with the local community and enjoys being part of village life.
Residents are encouraged to spend their time as they choose, whether that is enjoying the gardens, socialising with friends in one of the comfortable lounges, or relaxing in peaceful surroundings. Freshly prepared meals are served daily in the elegant dining room, offering a relaxed and sociable dining environment.

An attractive period home surrounded by countryside. Bayford House is packed with charming features like fireplaces, wood paneling, large bay windows, and set in six acres of beautiful grounds. We like to get involved with village life in Stockcross where we’re located, just outside of Newbury. Residents can always choose where to spend their time, perhaps pottering in the gardens, or catching up with friends in one of our comfortable lounges, before sitting down to a delicious lunch in our elegant dining room. |
