Meet The Manager

Katherine O'sullivan is General Manager at Aylesham Court Care Home.

To Kate, the residents and staff are like family and she enjoys seeing them thrive. Kate is passionate about care and enjoys how life at Aylesham Court is never the same day to day. Her aim is to provide the best quality not only in care for our residents but in life.

Katherine O'sullivan

Aylesham Court is an outstanding home and offers a warm and welcoming environment with a wide range of care services for the elderly. Care options include nursing, residential, convalescence, respite, palliative and day care, with the ground floor dedicated to residential residents. This purpose-built home with its well-furnished interior provides a pleasant dining room and four spacious and homely lounges where residents have the opportunity to relax and socialise. All bedrooms come with ensuite facilities and a 24-hour call system, and residents are able to personalise their room with their own furniture and personal items. Each resident’s dietary requirements and personal preferences are taken into account, and the chef provides both cooked meals, light and cold alternatives, as well as popular homemade cakes. Some of the many activities residents can enjoy include line dancing classes, exercise classes, baking and cooking, church services, crafts and pampering sessions, and there are also regular organised outings and trips to places of local interest. This home is rated Outstanding by CQC (January 2022), with 'responsive' and 'well-led' being the key areas the home excels at. This means services are tailored to meet the needs of individuals and delivered to ensure flexibility, choice and continuity of care. Service leadership is exceptional and distinctive, with the leaders and the service culture they created driving and improving the high-quality, person-centred care.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
