Tania Warner is The Home Manager at The Haven.
Hello, my name is Tania and I am honoured to be a part of the Sohal team as a registered Manager at The Haven. I have worked in the care sector for over 15 years, having started off as a Care Assistant and worked my way up the ladder to the position of Registered Care Manager. I have always had a passion for caring, particularly with the elderly, and those living with dementia and Alzheimer’s.
I am passionate and care deeply about enhancing our resident’s lives.

The Haven Residential Home is a registered care home, aiming to provide a high standard of care to our residents, whilst encouraging them to live as independently as possible by receiving care & support consistent with their needs. The Haven is set in approximately one acre of secluded land and is 5 minutes-drive from Colchester town centre. Local amenities include bus stop directly outside, two small local shops and a church; pub and restaurants within walking distance.

The home is set in large grounds, and our residents love the outside garden space. The home and the gardens are fully secured for peace of mind. There are two newly decorated lounges at The Haven. One is utilised as a reminiscence lounge, whilst the other is used for activities such as Bingo, indoor ten pin bowling, crafts, singing and dancing and so much more. Both lounges have large screen TVs and once a week we hold a Movie night for our residents, with popcorn included! |

We have accommodation for 32 residents in single rooms, 31 with en-suites. All bedrooms and communal areas are fitted with a nurse-call system and smoke alarm. All bedrooms are fully furnished, but residents are welcome to bring with them items of their own furniture by arrangement. |

Activities are given high priority in our home, and we pride ourselves on the range and variety of activities we offer our residents. However this does not only take place in the communal areas, as occasionally some residents may prefer to remain in their own rooms. In which case our Activities Co-ordinator will spend time with them too. |
