Karen Real is Manager at The Check House.
I understand that choosing the right care home and undergoing the transition can be a daunting experience for many. At The Check House Care Home, we aim to alleviate any concerns that choosing a care home may bring following a care needs assessment. We welcome prospective residents and loved ones to come and tour our care home and meet our care experts to help make an informed decision as to whether we are the right care home.
I look forward to welcoming you to The Check House…
The Check House Care Home is located in Seaton, offering stunning views that create a truly exceptional setting. This home boasts a unique blend of modern and period charm.
The property has been thoughtfully extended over the years, offering a variety of accommodation options. The lower ground floor features contemporary living spaces, while the original building showcases beautiful period details, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Well-established within the local community, the home has earned an excellent reputation and maintains strong connections with healthcare professionals. A small, old-fashioned general store located off the atrium serves residents' daily needs, including toiletries, and is especially beneficial for those living with dementia.
The dedicated team at the home includes long-serving staff members who have been with the home for many years, contributing to a strong sense of continuity and care. The home fosters a family-like environment, where residents are encouraged to socialise in communal lounges, promoting a sense of belonging and community.
A wide variety of activities to suit residents' interests are organised at the care home as well as trips out. Nutritious meals are provided to suit people's tastes and special dietary requirements.
