When a new resident arrives they’ll be met by their key carer, who’ll give them a guided tour of their new home. They’ll also tell them about meal times, activities and introduce them to some of the other residents and members of staff.

When a new resident joins us, we make getting to know them and their relatives a top priority. This helps us to build a picture of how they’d like to be supported day-to-day, so we can create a personalised care plan.

The Importance Of Meal Times

Fresh, healthy food

Mealtimes are an important part of daily life in our homes. Our chefs carefully select a different menu for each day of the week, making sure our residents enjoy a variety of our home cooked dishes.

Activities Are So Important

The activities room is where all residents can join in activities, whatever their capability. The activities room also used for hosting family events like birthdays.

There is a range of outdoor spaces including the secure, tranquil courtyard with plenty of seating, and beautiful, extensive grounds that residents can explore with their loved ones.

There’s no typical day at Allington Court, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.

Accessible activities for everyone
The home offers activities seven days a week including: arts and crafts, baking, knitting, puzzles, cards and games.

Lots of outings
We take the residents out on theatre trips, trips to the local pub for lunches, visits to local garden centers, and shopping trips. We try and personalise these upon resident requests.

Enjoying the gardens and wildlife
There is a gardening club, a weekly owl watch class enjoyed by residents, and other wildlife that visits the gardens.
