Situated in the beautiful countryside on the outskirts of St Albans, Allington Court is a home providing care for elderly residents with dementia.

Allington Court is a home specially designed for dementia care.

Our single-storey building is all on one floor and has a circular design with colour coded areas to help those living with dementia find their way around. Set in thirteen acres of tranquil gardens, it’s hard to believe we’re just off the M25.

Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time.

Residents can always choose where to spend their time. Our two homely lounges are perfect for relaxing or welcoming loved ones, and we have a dedicated reminiscence area, and on-site hair salon.

Activities Are So Important

The activities room is where all residents can join in activities, whatever their capability. The activities room also used for hosting family events like birthdays.

There is a range of outdoor spaces including the secure, tranquil courtyard with plenty of seating, and beautiful, extensive grounds that residents can explore with their loved ones.

There’s no typical day at Allington Court, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.

Accessible activities for everyone
The home offers activities seven days a week including: arts and crafts, baking, knitting, puzzles, cards and games.

Lots of outings

We take the residents out on theatre trips, trips to the local pub for lunches, visits to local garden centers, and shopping trips. We try and personalise these upon resident requests.

Enjoying the gardens and wildlife

There is a gardening club, a weekly owl watch class enjoyed by residents, and other wildlife that visits the gardens.
