Meet The Manager

Emma Hill is Home Manager at Sandiacre Court Care Centre.

In terms of a bit about me and my career, I have worked in the care sector since 2001 when I started as a Care Assistant in a nursing home. After 11 years as a Care Assistant, I moved to a residential care home as a Senior Care Assistant while completing my NVQ 3 and a sign language course, which I find immensely useful in my day-to-day work. I then progressed to a Night Care Manager while I completed my NVQ 5, with a level 3 in Management. My studies enabled me to step into a deputy managerial role before being promoted to Home Manager after just one year. I believe that my experience has given me the wisdom and knowledge to take on this new challenge at Sandiacre Court Care Centre.

I am passionate about, and dedicated to, providing the highest quality of care to residents and relatives. I pride myself on being an open and honest person, enjoy a challenge and am always keen to empower staff.

Care Manager

Hi, I’m Lee the Care Manager at Sandiacre Court. I left school with no qualifications and had one or two factory jobs. It was only when I nursed my mother during her terminal illness, I felt that I had discovered a passion for adult care. After her passing I got a job as an ordinary care assistant at my local care home and from that point I haven’t looked back. I worked my way through the required qualifications until I reached management level and took on my first care home as its registered manager at the end of 2020. That home had been rated inadequate but within three months I had turned it around to *** rating. It was a baptism of fire but a successful one. So now you find me as your Care Manager, and I am loving being here.
