When a new resident arrives they’ll be met by their key carer, who’ll give them a guided tour of their new home. They’ll also tell them about meal times, activities and introduce them to some of the other residents and members of staff.

When a new resident joins us, we make getting to know them and their relatives a top priority. This helps us to build a picture of how they’d like to be supported day-to-day, so we can create a personalised care plan.

The Importance Of Meal Times

Mealtimes are an important part of daily life in our homes. Our chefs carefully select a different menu for each day of the week, making sure our residents enjoy a variety of our home cooked dishes.

Activities Are So Important

There’s no typical day at Queensmount, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.

Keep yourself active and healthy:

To help our residents keep active there are regular gentle exercise session that they are encouraged to participate in.

Get out on the open water:

Our regular boat trips help to show our residents a completely different side of nature.

See the sights and sounds of the coast:

As we’re so close to the seaside we often take residents on regular outings in good summer weather.

We also organise pub style quiz nights, have regular school and church visits and enjoy animal therapy sessions.
