| What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe | ||
|---|---|---|
|
In addition to meeting all regulatory requirements, we maintain robust infection prevention and control procedures, regular team training, safe medication management and comprehensive risk assessments tailored to each resident’s individual needs. Our home benefits from nurse-led care 24-hours a day, call bell systems, bedroom monitoring sensors where appropriate, fire safety systems and secure, well-maintained environments to support residents living safely and comfortably. We also work closely with healthcare professionals, families and visiting specialists to ensure residents receive the right care at the right time. We continually review our policies and procedures to ensure we are providing a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for everyone at Albert House. |

| Our Building and Facilities |
|---|
|
Behind a modest Victorian facade lies a state-of-the art care facility. Over £2 million was spent to convert and extend 5 terraced houses into a comfortable home for our Residents with en-suites for all rooms and multiple lounges and communal areas. There are 3 lounges where the residents can relax, have chats with the other residents or join in with the arranged daily activities and weekly activities like aromatherapy. The lounges are equipped with large TVs but space has been set aside for those not wishing to watch TV or who wish to play a range of games like table tennis, pool etc. Two of the lounges have large french windows opening onto courtyard gardens and all have additional skylight windows, making them very light and airy. There is also a dining room which all residents are encouraged to use so that they do move around during the day. A special hairdressing facility has been installed in an area leading off from one of the lounges for the weekly visits of a professional hairdresser. |
