Sara Bland is Home Manager at OSJCT Foxby Court.
Sara, the Home Manager at Foxby Court, has been in the role since August 2023 but has been with the Trust for just under 5 years.“I worked in other care homes for over 11 years as a Carer, then onto a Senior Carer. I worked 4 years on nights before I came back on days as Care Supervisor. I then worked 2 years as Deputy Manager. I had some time out before I became the Night Deputy in other care homes for 4 months, and 1 year as a Senior before I took the post at Foxby Court as a Senior Carer. After 4 months with OSJCT I took the Head of Care role, which I have done for over 4 years before becoming the Home Manager.”
“I enjoy working in the care sector and enjoy helping people in the best way possible. Delivery of care is paramount, and I enjoy helping with the different care needs through the different stages in life. Being the Home Manager at Foxby Court, I am now on a new journey within my career.”
Located in the residential area of Gainsborough is Foxby Court, offering high-quality and compassionate residential, respite and dementia care to its 46 residents. Set in its own grounds surrounded by mature trees, there are both shops and other local amenities nearby.

Activities Are So Important |
---|
Activities: Whether it’s wet or dry outside, we feel that activities are essential in providing the best caring environment to live in. Hobbies don’t simply stop when living with us at Foxby Court. We have a dedicated Activities Co-ordinator who works closely with our residents to create a programme of fulfilling activities and events, tailored around each resident’s requests, hobbies and interests. The programme of events and activities provide a source of fun and laughter, to help each resident live their life to the full and make new friendships. We are also fortunate to have the support of many volunteers of all ages from the local community, strengthening our links to this thriving town. Here is a sample of activities on offer:
With so many well-being activities for body and mind on offer, we also recognise that everyone needs some personal space for relaxation and mindfulness for personal reflection. The cosy lounges offer an opportunity for some quiet time or to host family and friends. And that’s not all: We’ve had silent discos, hoe downs, Chinese banquets, Oscar parties and so much more. Many of the activities feature Reminiscence Therapy to aid those living with Dementia to remember events, people and places using sight, touch, taste, smell and sound. Events: There's never a dull moment. We run regular activities and events for all to join including:
