Activities Are So Important |
---|
Our nursing homes have Wellbeing and Activities coordinators to encourage and facilitate residents to choose daily activities which have the simple objective to encourage social interaction and stimulation. These activities are designed as to improve the variety in residents' daily lives, introduce new skills and enable residents to discover new passions. All of Country Court Care's homes have developed very strong ties with their local community. We always encourage local people to attend events at the homes, as well as encouraging residents to join in the fun. Part of our mission to provide a positive and independent space is a focus on providing residents with engaging activities to take part in. At Ruckland Court, we offer a lively programme of events and occasions, with a dedicated Activities and Well-Being Coordinator on hand to support residents and help them continue practising their hobbies or interests. These hobbies can vary, from gardening and baking to arts and crafts or singing, there is always something going on for everyone to enjoy. We encourage residents to continue being part of their local community and organise regular outings to Lincoln City Centre and local attractions so that they can stay connected to the city’s goings-on. This local encouragement extends beyond the residents, too, with the local community attending many of the events held in the home, joining residents and providing them with new, engaging people to meet. |
