Emma Pickett

Stones Place care home in Lincoln, originally a country manor house, is situated next to Hartsholme Lake, a beautiful country park which is accessible for wheelchair users. MHA made major additions in 1972 and the home was subsequently refurbished in 1996, with the rooms increased to 42 in 2004.

Stones Place was opened just three months ahead of Maidment Court in Poole. At the time, then MHA Chairman Sir George Martin, expressed “pride in my church for establishing these wonderful rest houses for people in their old age."

We are committed to providing alternative therapies such as reflexology, which does much to help promote the well-being of each individual, while our Chaplain offers pastoral support to all, whatever their beliefs.

Funded through charitable support, every MHA care home also prides itself in being able to offer unique and memorable opportunities and activities for residents to quite literally help them 'seize the day'.

Whatever you need and whatever you want, Stones Place promotes physical and mental wellbeing for each individual.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

Spiritual needs vary as we each experience wellbeing and fulfilment in different ways.  That’s why, at Stones Place, we offer so many opportunities to foster relationships and positive experiences – from developing new skills and fulfilling personal ambitions to creative pursuits and trips out. All MHA’s care homes have a designated Chaplain who is available for private conversations on any matter close to your heart, and arranges worship services for those who wish to attend. As part of MHA’s desire to offer the very best in later life, we also provide additional therapies such as reflexology for your wellbeing. These gentle one-to-one sessions aim to bring calm and relaxation.
