Michelle MacKenzie is General Manager at Edmund House.
Since starting my career with the Social Services as a Care Manager from 2002 to 2017, my dream was to make a difference to peoples lives in their last years, months, weeks and days of their life. My dream came true in 2017 when I became the Home Manager of Edmund House. I can now make that difference and fulfil that dream.
Edmund House carries out expert and personalised care for a wide range of needs while supporting independence and dignity, as well as an active lifestyle. Tailored care plans are offered to those who are living with dementia and to those who are no longer able to live at home. A Call Care System ensures easy access to staff and a passenger lift ideal for those with mobility issues. Accommodation features bright and spacious communal areas and en-suite bedrooms, each offering comfortable and tasteful furnishings and décor. Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
