Meet The Manager

Jane McAuley is General manager at Oak Hall Care Home.

Jane is a qualified nurse, holding both RNHM and RGN qualifications. She brings a diverse clinical background, having worked in private homes, care homes, and hospitals, including time spent in theatre settings.

Jane joined the Manor Life team at Oak Hall in April 2021 and brings a wealth of leadership experience in care home management.

She has a strong track record of supporting services to achieve and maintain positive CQC ratings.

Oak Hall in Haslemere, Surrey opened its doors to new residents in November 2018, following an extensive refurbishment. It offers luxurious surroundings for 53 residents, all of whom enjoy their own en-suite rooms.

In keeping with other homes within the group, Oak Hall will deliver exceptional levels of care in convivial surroundings. Restaurant-style dining is a key feature, alongside a dedicated social engagement team who will be running a wide range of activities to keep residents active.

Oak Hall will offers a range of care options: residential, convalescent, respite and specialist palliative care are all available, each with the aim of providing dignity and respect through programmes tailored to the needs of the individual.

Oak Hall lives up to its name with a large oak-panelled entrance hall; oak staircase and balustrading with many further oak features throughout the building. The original interiors of the principal rooms remain little altered: marquetry inlay to some floors, plastered ceilings, stone and marble fireplaces, marble floors, heraldic stained glass and tiled bathrooms.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

Oak Hall has a robust Clinical Governance Framework in place to ensure high standards of safety and care.

The home operates with openness and transparency, working collaboratively with external stakeholders and local safeguarding teams.

All colleagues receive appropriate training relevant to their roles, ensuring they are fully equipped to deliver safe and effective care.

An independent quality consultant oversees the Clinical Governance Framework to provide objective insight and assurance.

The Director of Operations conducts regular provider visits, at least once a month, to maintain oversight and drive continuous improvement.

Oak Hall maintains staffing levels above the industry standard, ensuring residents receive supportive, personalised care and that team members are well-supported in their roles.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Independent Assessments We have been independently assessed in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Sterilisation & Disinfection Devices We are using sterilisation and/or disinfection devices within our care setting.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
