I have been working as a Registered General Nurse in the social care sector for over 20 years gaining experience in long term care.

I am passionate about caring for the elderly and working at Moorhouse Nursing Home is very rewarding for me. I enjoy working with people and making them happy. I believe that when a resident move into our home, myself and my team are there to ensure they live their life to the fullest, achieving their goals and enhancing the quality of their life through their personalised care plans.

Moorhouse Nursing Care Home in Hindhead is an historic country house located in the heart of the village. Our home offers a comfortable and homely setting over three floors with enviable open views across the National Trust’s Golden Valley and surrounding Surrey countryside.  There are also two acres of landscaped accessible gardens surrounding the home for residents to relax and enjoy, or to do a spot of gardening if they so wish.

​Our bedrooms are individual, light and airy and almost all enjoy views of the countryside.  Most rooms are single rooms but there are some double rooms available for couples who want to stay together.  Our rooms on the ground floor are particularly popular as the majority feature patio doors opening directly onto the gardens.

At our residential and nursing care home in Hindhead, dining is always exciting.  Using fresh ingredients and as much as possible, local produce, menus are created by our award nominated chef who ensures that each dish is nutritious, balanced and tasty whilst meeting individual requirements and preferences.

Day-to-day life at our care home offers a varied programme of social activities from arts & crafts, games, painting to gentle exercise classes.  We also have regular visits from speakers, musical groups and entertainers.  Social outings to theatre, shopping centres, local attractions are regularly organised.
