Meet The Manager

Monika Gilice is Registered Care Manager at Kestrel Grove Nursing Home.

I have been working for Kestrel Grove as a manager since 2012. I call Kestrel my home not only because I live on site with my small family, but because I truly feel this place is my home. I have worked here prior to my appointment as a deputy manager and I always knew I will be back one day. I qualified as a nurse in Hungary and I moved to the UK in 2004. I gained extensive experience in elderly dementia care as well as palliative care. I lead the team of nurses here at kestrel grove to provide the best possible care from basic nursing to complex care needs.

Monika Gilice

Kestrel Grove is situated in Bushey Heath, a small Hertfordshire village 12 miles from Central London with views over countryside and set in five acres of its own beautiful landscaped gardens. The principle mansion was formerly headquarters of Fighter Command at Stanmore and has an impressive reception hall with ornate balustrades and a domed skylight.

There is a dedicated team of Registered General Nurses and Health Care Assistants to provide very high standards of care and comfort for our elderly and convalescent residents.

Kestrel Grove is one of the longest established care homes in the country. Established in 1966 we have acquired an enviable reputation in the local area. Being a family run business we can offer the personal service you would expect from a five star care environment. Our objective has always been that we care for our residents as we would like our own family members to be cared for.

In achieving this we create a warm and homely atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble. The Proprietor is available at all times to ensure that every need is catered for. The Matron is fully qualified R.G.N and R.M.N., lives within the grounds, who will discuss with all parties involved the continuing care needs of the residents to ensure all aspects of care are met.

We look forward to welcoming you to the home and showing the facilities that we offer to you and your family.
