Alice Brooks-Smith is Deputy Manager at Inglewood Residential Care Home.
Alice's story at Inglewood began as a carer, a role she embraced with compassion and a genuine desire to make a difference. Having left nursing college with a passion for caring for others, she found her calling at Inglewood. From day one, she demonstrated a natural aptitude for understanding and anticipating the needs of residents. Her dedication and empathetic approach quickly set her apart.
Over the years, Alice's passion for care and her commitment to Inglewood's residents propelled her forward. She seized opportunities for professional development, steadily building her knowledge and skills within the home. Inglewood recognised her potential and supported her growth, allowing her to flourish within the organisation.
Her caring nature, combined with her extensive knowledge and experience, makes her an invaluable asset to the Inglewood team. She is an inspiration to her colleagues and a source of comfort and support for the residents and their families.
Inglewood is a family-run care home, established in 1987. At Inglewood residents enjoy a homely atmosphere within a family environment.
We encourage our residents to live their lives as they wish, enjoying the independence of which they are capable, whilst receiving the support that they may need. Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time and refreshments are always freely available.
Residents are looked after in a safe, caring environment, where all our staff are specifically trained to be able to manage the changing needs of our residents. We maintain a warm, homely, and non-institutional environment where our residents can relax in their own private bedroom, enjoy the lounges and gardens, or participate in the social activities on offer.

Inglewood Residential Care Home offers a range of private bedrooms, each with a pleasant outlook and individual character in the form of period features, bay windows or skylights; and all with a relaxed and welcoming design which feels like a home. The extension and development of the original home incorporated ten newer single bedrooms, two with fully appointed shower rooms and eight with en-suite toilet and wash basin. Two of our rooms have private access via an external door. Four of our rooms offer doors to the garden or terrace. Unusually, we do have one double room en-suite for a couple, in addition to our single rooms; the majority with en-suite and some with access to the garden. Every room has a staff call system. |
