Vanessa Pepper is Care Home Manager at Hillside Lodge Care Home.
Vanessa has worked in the Elderly Care Sector for over 33 years. She started her career as a Care Assistant and worked her way up to the Unit Manager in 1991. In 2015, Vanessa joined Four Seasons Health Care as a Home Manager. Vanessa has achieved a lot in her career, but her proudest achievement outside of her career would be deep sea diving around the world! In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family and going holidays.
Words of encouragement from Vanessa for someone looking for the right care home would be: “Stay positive, finding the right home is very important but don’t be too picky, it must feel right.”
“I love what I do, I feel so rewarded.”
Hillside Lodge Care Home is located just half a mile from the town centre, offering convenient access to local shops, public transport, and the A1 motorway, making it easily accessible for both residents and visitors.
The home provides high-quality residential care for individuals who require support with everyday tasks such as washing, dressing, eating, and managing medication. For those with more complex medical needs, dedicated nursing care is also available, delivered by a skilled and compassionate team.

Activities Are So Important |
---|
Another way we can help our residents to feel at home is for them to do familiar things. So our dedicated Activities Leaders gently encourage residents to carry on doing things they enjoy. If someone had a hobby or pastime they did before they arrived, we’ll encourage them to continue it with us. Or perhaps they may like to learn something new. The important thing is that we treat every resident as an individual. If they enjoy sharing time with others, either in our home or on an organised trip out, they’re most welcome. Or, if they prefer quiet time alone, we’ll respect that too. |
