Highcroft Hall Residential Care Home

A home is a place where people invite friends and loved ones to catch up and make memories. Our care home is no different, so the team has created a coffee shop where the residents can socialise with one another, or spend time with their visitors.

Decorated with vintage fineries, residents and their loved ones can relax and spend time chatting over a cup of tea and slice of freshly-baked cake. Supporting our residents to maintain their independence is an important part of their care we provide, so having their own coffee shop, where they can arrange to meet their visitors, is wonderful for our residents’ wellbeing.

We have 52 rooms, each with phone and television points. Residents also have access to the internet.

The team provides person-centred activities that are tailored to the amazingly wonderful residents living in our care home. Some of our residents like to be on the go, while others prefer to take more of a back seat and relax, everyone is different.

For residents who have loved ones living further afield, our dedicated team are here to keep them company. Many of the staff at Highcroft Hall have worked in the care home since it opened, so are like a big extended family.

At Sanctuary Care we recognise meal times have always been a focus for residents in our homes which is why we invest in fantastic chefs and catering staff who can deliver delicious, nutritious menus and create an enjoyable dining experience for our residents. Cooked or continental? Sandwiches or hot food? The choice is yours with residents being involved in creating seasonal nutritional menus from old favourites to trying something new…there’s also always freshly baked cakes to enjoy for afternoon tea.

Midnight snack? No problem, refreshments are available to residents throughout the day and evening if they get a little peckish.

We encourage meal-times where residents can eat together and socialise in a relaxing environment but understand that residents may wish to enjoy food when they and where choose to have it.

Our trained staff understand the importance of eating well and staying hydrated and supporting residents living with dementia to enjoy food in their environment – making food more visible through coloured crockery and more appealing whether it's pureed, finger foods or moulded.

Ensuring our residents stay as connected as possible to their vibrant community, a variety of groups and individuals are welcomed into the home every week. Children from a school in Bushbury often pop in, we host regular tea parties and also welcome volunteers from across Wolverhampton to take part in activities with our residents, who receive both residential and dementia care.

Every week some very well-behaved rescue dogs come into the care home to bring that Friday Feeling. Lena, Woody, Teddy and Ava, who belong to the home’s administrator Dale, take it in turns to come and say hello. Residents, including those living with dementia, adore animal therapy and love to fuss the dogs, especially Teddy who is a real lapdog.

Highcroft Hall is a busy care home with stimulating activities at the heart of everything we do. Whether limbering up in a gentle exercise class, singing and dancing along to musicians from across Wolverhampton, or enjoying being pampered in the home’s hairdressing salon, there is always so much to do.
