What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe | ||
---|---|---|
Safeguarding our residents is our utmost priority and we seek to comply with all legal requirements in our safeguarding practices. We will enable our residents and team members to understand and recognise what harm or abuse is so that everyone knows how to keep our residents safe and take a proactive approach to safeguarding. We will ensure that a collaborative, joined-up approach to safety is followed and involves the resident and other partners in their care. This includes referrals, admissions, and discharge, and where residents are moving between services. Risks to residents will be assessed, monitored, and managed daily. We will take steps to prevent abuse or discrimination, respond appropriately to any signs or allegations of abuse and work effectively with others, including the residents, their relatives, and appropriate authorities, to agree good and safe continuity of care. We will ensure that lessons are learned, communicated and improvements made when things go wrong. Environmental risks in the home will be assessed and managed regularly and effectively. Improvements to safety will always be made and the resulting changes will be closely monitored and managed appropriately. |
