Marie Accison

Sutton Rose is a luxury, state-of-the-art residential, nursing, and dementia care home in the heart of Sutton Coldfield. Our aim in developing the home was not simply to provide a wonderful environment for elderly people but also to create a place where the local community could come together.

In agreement with Birmingham City Council, we have established the ‘Boldmere Place Community Family’ - a committee comprising members of the local community and their representatives, as well as management staff from the home. This body will ensure that all enjoy the home's facilities.

We will partner with local charities and organisations, such as Age Concern, to ensure that the home fulfils its potential to benefit not only its residents but also local people more broadly.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

The Bistro at Sutton Rose has become a place for community participation in daily home life. Hot meals and private dining facilities are available, and we also sell local produce.

MACC Care has created a place where local people, families, and friends can come together to meet and relax. It is open Monday through Saturday every day for members of the Boldmere and Sutton Coldfield community to enjoy. Within the Bistro, a Library Book Section has been created to enable community members to access a range of books and encourage interactions with the care home residents.
