Marie George is General Manager at Sherwell Manor.
Marie brings over 43 years of experience in care, with a career built on compassion, respect, and a genuine passion for supporting others. As a registered nurse, she has worked across a wide range of settings, including as a forensic nurse practitioner with the police, in A&E in Bristol, at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and within addiction services and community care—giving her a well-rounded and deeply rooted understanding of care.
Over the past nine years, Marie has moved into leadership roles as a Regional and Registered Manager in social care. She is passionate about advocating for those she supports, ensuring every individual feels heard, valued, and cared for in a way that is truly personal to them.
Marie is equally dedicated to her teams, taking pride in supporting and developing those around her to deliver the highest standards of care with kindness and dignity. She believes that strong, confident teams are key to creating exceptional care environments.
