What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

Keeping Residents Safe

✅ Robust Safeguarding Measures – Ensuring all staff are trained to identify and report concerns, with clear safeguarding policies in place.

✅ Falls Prevention & Mobility Support – Risk assessments for each resident, proper mobility aids, and staff training in fall prevention.

✅ Infection Control – Regular deep cleaning, PPE use, hand hygiene training, and flu/COVID vaccinations for residents and staff.

✅ Medication Safety – Strict medication protocols, audits, and electronic MAR (Medication Administration Records) to reduce errors.

✅ Fire & Emergency Preparedness – Fire drills, personal emergency evacuation plans (PEEPs), and up-to-date risk assessments.

✅ Nutrition & Hydration Monitoring – Ensuring residents are eating well and staying hydrated, with tailored meal plans if needed.

Keeping Staff Safe & Well-Led

✅ Safe Staffing Levels – Ensuring enough staff on each shift to meet residents’ needs, using agency cover only when absolutely necessary.

✅ Training & Development – Regular training in safeguarding, dementia care, and first aid to ensure staff confidence and competence.

✅ Supportive Leadership – Open-door policy, staff meetings, and feedback loops to ensure concerns are addressed quickly.

✅ Mental Health & Wellbeing Support – Encouraging work-life balance, stress management support, and access to mental health resources.

✅ Fair Pay & Recognition – Competitive salaries, bonuses, and incentives for staff to reduce turnover and boost morale.

✅ Whistleblowing & Complaints Handling – A clear and confidential process for staff to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Independent Assessments We have been independently assessed in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
