Victoria Cruxton is General Manager at Parkfield Grange Care Home.
I’m responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the home, ensuring our residents receive exceptional, person-centred care. I lead and support the team, set the culture and make sure everything we do reflects our values, from care quality and compliance through to resident experience, family relationships and community engagement. My role is about creating a place where people feel safe, respected and genuinely at home, while also driving strong operational performance and continuous improvement."
Parkfield Grange Care Home provides residential, dementia, and respite care in an exceptional setting, with services and facilities thoughtfully designed around residents’ wishes, routines, and lifestyles.
The accommodation includes 68 fully furnished en-suite bedrooms alongside six spacious one-bedroom care suites. Each care suite features a private bedroom, lounge, and kitchenette, making them ideal for couples or individuals seeking greater independence and space, while still benefiting from 24-hour care.
A dedicated Wellness and Lifestyle team creates a daily programme of engaging activities, offering imaginative and meaningful experiences tailored to each resident’s interests, abilities, and life story.
The purpose-built dementia community includes sensory and reminiscence areas designed to promote familiarity, comfort, and wellbeing, with events and activities personalised to individual needs.
The home is thoughtfully arranged into smaller, welcoming communities, each with its own lounge and dining room to create a calm, homely atmosphere.
Most floors offer direct access to beautifully maintained gardens, while the top floor benefits from a terrace with ample seating and views across the grounds.
Dining is an important part of daily life, supported by a dedicated Hospitality team who run and host each meal service, creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.
Chefs prepare delicious, attractively presented meals using fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a varied menu to suit individual preferences. All dietary requirements are catered for, with the team trained to IDDSI guidelines to support residents with specific nutritional or swallowing needs.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
