Meet The Manager
Debbie Crawford is Manager at Northcare Suites.
In 2019, Debbie joined Northcare Suites as a Clinical Lead Nurse. She was drawn to Northcare’s ethos of nurturing both mind and body through engaging activities, along with its strong focus on prioritising the well-being of its clients. In 2020, Debbie progressed to the role of Deputy Manager, excelled in her deputy role and was later promoted to Manager of Northcare Suites
Northcare Suites is a purpose-built luxury care home which offers 76 generously appointed bedroom suites. It includes all of the usual comforts you would expect from Edinburgh’s finest care home such as warm and welcoming living areas, bright dining rooms all decorated to the highest standards of traditional taste with a modern twist. The bedroom suites, which are our clients personal space to rest and relax in, are as far from the traditional concept of a care home as you can imagine.
We take the time to get to really know our residents, both before they arrive at Northcare Suites and during their stay with us. Good communication is central to residents happily settling in successfully with us and we like to find out as much as we can. Upon arrival we discuss with our new client, and ideally also with their relatives, their background and complete a life story book. This enables us to provide personal care and dialogue that is tailored specifically to their needs.
We make sure that residents are always comfortable, reassured and dignified during their stay with us.

Located on the 1st floor of Northcare Suites, The Castle Cocktail Bar is available to use while visiting your loved one. We have a variety of cocktails available served by our experienced barstaff for our clients and their guests to enjoy. Located on the top floor of Northcare Suites, The Brasserie is an elegant, atmospheric and relaxed setting where our clients can host their visitors and enjoy some of our chefs' fresh home baking served by our hosts. The Brasserie is also a well-used space for entertainment purposes for live music and special events. The Brasserie is open daily between 10am and 5pm. The private gardens at Northcare Suites provide an opportunity for clients to escape the hustle & bustle of Edinburgh and to enjoy our beautiful outdoor surroundings. This secure area has been designed to maximise the garden space available and includes a wide variety of features such as meandering paths, BBQ patio, multi-purpose activity green, potting shed, greenhouse, sensory gardens and play park for visiting children. |

All of our bedrooms at Northcare Suites are finished to the highest of standards and include large en-suite’s with rain head showers, double bed, call bell, telephone facility, high speed wireless internet connectivity and Sky TV facility. |

Residents can book the cinema for private screenings for a special occasion or a select group of friends or family.
