Meet The Manager

GEMMA RIDOUT-BOWDEN is GENERAL MANAGER at Mornington Court.

I am really excited to be working at Mornington Court Care Home where every day is different and our residents never cease to make me smile. As General Manager, I feel privileged to be looking after people’s loved ones and I make sure every single one of our residents receives the best possible care suited to their needs. I have a deep passion for dementia care and my work on a project with leading dementia consultant, Dr Gemma Jones, and Dementia UK has enabled me to roll out Forget Me Not Cafés at the homes I’ve worked in to support our family carers.

I have 19 years’ care experience across residential, day care, domiciliary, rehabilitations and assessment settings with recent years at management level. Qualifications I hold include NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care and the Leadership and Management Award.

SARAH GILLETT
HOME ADMISSIONS ADVISOR

In my role I help to support families through the transition into residential care. Choosing the right care can be a difficult decision for all involved, but my job is to help this process run as smoothly as possible by guiding our new residents and their family members through this life changing move with support, great understanding and empathy.

I have over 8 years’ experience of working in the care sector starting my career as a Domiciliary Carer looking after elderly people in their own homes in the local community and a few years later becoming the Office Manager. After a break to raise my family and help with the family business I feel so lucky to have come back to a job doing the things I am passionate about.
