Care Provider: Kingsway Care Limited

Meet The Manager

Chris Lucas is Registered Manager at Kingsway Care.

My name is Chris and I chose to work in healthcare to provide better outcomes for people needing care. I’m incredibly passionate about home care and particularly enjoy meeting new clients and their families to guide them through the setting up of their care plan. I co-founded Kingsway Care after seeing the need for better at home care services in the local area. In my spare time, I love relaxing with my wife and two daughters Ava and Erin. Contact us if you would like me to provide a free, no obligation consultation.

1. COMPANIONSHIP:

“What would you love to do?”

Maybe you would like a Kingsway Personal Assistant (PA) to check in on you every day, have a chat, share a pot of tea or have fun cooking or making something together? Or perhaps you need to be accompanied to a hospital or GP appointment? Or possibly you just want a little fun and break in your routine with a trip to the cinema or shops? Let us know what you would love to do!

We proactively encourage and reward our team to bring fun and imagination whilst delivering companionship. We aim to match the needs and interests of each client with suitable members of the Kingsway team that may have shared interests with you. We will also rosta their work schedule so you will see the same primary or secondary PA each visit. We will introduce you to your Kingsway Personal Assistant before your care starts. By building a continuous relationship between you and your Kingsway Personal Assistant, we know they will be best placed to offer the best possible support.

CLIENT: “I still love gardening, but I can’t do all the heavy stuff anymore. I really look forward to my weekly visits from Kingsway Care. They mow the lawn and have made some raised flower beds for me. They even deliver the heavy sacks of compost so I get stuck in planting my raised beds with veg to eat."

    4. PET CARE:

We can arrange for our trusted maintenance & repair team to help with any jobs around the home. We know it’s difficult to find tradespeople that you can trust, especially for all those little jobs from fixing leaky taps, putting up shelves, hanging curtains or painting the house. Let us know what needs doing and we will be happy to help.

CLIENT: “Since mum was diagnosed with dementia we knew we needed to make some changes to her home. Kingsway Care were able to recommend where to put shelving and other safety measures.”

Did you know that we offer support outside your home too? Some of our clients enjoy a change of scene from time to time. Perhaps you might enjoy a visit to the cinema, or a trip to the theatre to see a pantomime, or a promenade along the seafront with an ice cream, or how about joining an afternoon tea dance? Tell us what you would love to do and we will arrange it for you.

We can also show you how to shop online and keep you aware of scams – see Friends Against Scams www.friendsagainstscams.org.uk
