Meet The Manager

Clare Hedge is Home Manager at Eggleton House.

I have over 31 years’ experience working in care homes, including 24 years as a Home Manager. I hold the NVQ Registered Manager Award and am a qualified Dementia Care Mapper and Trainer, as well as an NVQ Assessor. During my career, I have also commissioned six care homes.

I joined Care UK after learning that Eggleton House was being built. I was keen to apply because of Care UK’s strong reputation, with more homes rated ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ by the CQC than any other provider in the UK.

The most important part of my role is creating a home that residents and families trust, while maintaining high standards and professionalism. I feel proud when I see residents happy and fulfilled, and colleagues feeling supported and can grow in their career.

Outside of work, I enjoy yoga, pilates, swimming, motor racing, travelling with my family and long walks with my two cockapoos.
