Patrick Butler is General Manager at Belong Chester.
Patrick joins from Bupa Care Services, where he was a strategic account manager for the group, having worked up from general manager over the past decade. He has extensive experience in establishing positive relationships with a range of stakeholders and in driving quality standards. His early career also includes experience of running children’s nurseries.
Patrick is passionate about care for all ages and, having previously worked in the city, is pleased to be back and looking forward to setting the highest care standards from day one and to building what will become the premier dementia care service in West Cheshire. Patrick’s experience in childcare will also lend itself well to the post, with Belong Chester set to become the organisation’s first care village with an on-site nursery, and the first of its kind in the North West. In the 1990s, he ran two successful nurseries in nearby Shropshire – both of which are still operating today.
The recently opened Belong Chester provides high-specification accommodation. Located in the heart of the city, adjacent to its historic canal, we aim to provide world-leading dementia and nursing care.
We feature a range of other facilities, including a bistro, hair salon, exercise studio and function rooms.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe | ||
---|---|---|
With the worst of the pandemic behind us, we are delighted to be open to the public once more and to see our villages gradually returning to the vibrant community hubs we have always known. Nonetheless, we remain mindful of the risks that Covid-19 continues to present, and a number of safety measures are in place to ensure robust infection prevention and control. These are regularly reviewed by our Covid-19 steering group to ensure that our practice is up-to-date and consistent with current levels of risk. |

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
